Treating Weeds in Rip-Rap

Cattail Control

Cattails may seem decorative – at first – but they spread rapidly. Their stems grow underwater and they have an extensive root system. The best time to treat for control of cattails is mid-July through September.

If you need to completely remove or greatly reduce them, contact us for a quote.

Lake Clean-up

Every pond or small lake has its own water depth, water source, and other factors that will influence the type and volume of weeds that grow around it. It is almost always easier and more cost effective to prevent a weed and algae problem than it is to treat an overgrown pond in the heat of summer.

Outdoor Solutions offers three levels of water weed management:

  1. Clean Lake Program – Inspection of pond twice a month from April through September, with treatments applied as needed to control weeds.
  2. Monthly Maintenance Program – We make six monthly pond treatments from April through September.
  3. On-Call Pond Treatment Program – Treatment as required, with price determined by weed species and density at the time of treatment.

Treating Weeds in Rip-Rap

Rip rap stone is useful to protect shorelines, stream beds, and other shoreline structures against water or ice erosion. However, over time it can get weedy. We can treat the weeds and other unwanted vegetation to keep your property neat and clean.
